METROPOLE - 1961

On Oct. 28, 1961, a blaze destroyed the Metropole Theatre on Stockwell Street in Glasgow. The venue opened as the Scotia Music Hall in 1862. It 
featured a 160-foot foyer that opened into a music hall lined with dark polished wood. The builiding was also the scene of a fire in 1875, Wikipedia said.
